About the Booger Lights Project

Ghost lights are my hobby.  I enjoy watching them.  It is one of the few harmless recreational activities left that gets people outdoors in the fresh air for a good scare.  Thousands of others experience the wonder, fear, and the adrenalin rush when viewing ghost lights every year.  Fortunately the American South is blessed with more than one hundred active ghost light sighting areas.  Unfortunately, many are threatened by development.  I started what I call the Booger Lights Project to increase people’s awareness of Southern ghost lights and to promote the recreational use of ghost light sighting areas.  Our purpose is not to debunk or to explain away, but to enjoy, catalog, and preserve.

We welcome first hand accounts of your experiences with ghost lights and would love to share them with other readers.  So please, click the Share Your Experiences tab and let us know what you saw, felt, and experienced.

Happy Hunting!
